DPM1000 power clamp meter
The new Megger DPM1000 power clamp meter combines the functionality of a power meter, harmonics meter, and data logger in one easy-to-use package that meets the requirements of BSEN 61010-1 CAT IV 600 V for supply side applications. It has a large, backlit LCD screen that clearly displays all measurements that can be selected at the touch of a button or when rotating the selection dial. It also features auto-ranging and has three-phase rotation indication and automatically switches off to save battery consumption. The DPM1000 can measure DC, AC, pulsed, and mixed currents up to 1000 A simply by clamping the jaws around the appropriate conductor, whilst voltages up to 1000 V AC or DC may be measured by the supplied test leads. Where power measurements are to be made, both techniques above are performed simultaneously. All power related parameters can be measured including energy consumption, frequency, total harmonic distortion, distortion factor, and capacitance. The instrument can make temperature measurements up to 1000 °C using the thermocouple provided, has an internal torch that can be used during the operation of the clamp, and has automatic non-contact voltage detection for identification of live circuits. The DPM1000 is ideally suited to measuring mains power quality and applications in the development, installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and devices used in power electronics and power engineering.
FCC3450 3000 A flexible clamp meter
The FCC3450 3000 A flexible clamp meter is a Bluetooth® enabled flexible current clamp, designed for AC/DC voltage, frequency, continuity, and resistance measurements, as well as AC current up to 3000 A. It measures True RMS voltage up to 1000 V AC/DC and comes with built- in display with 10 000 count resolution. As well as resistance, continuity, frequency, and capacitance for quick verifications,. iIt meets CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V AC/DC safety ratings. Due to the length and flexibility of the coil, measurements can be made around large conductors, or those conductors inaccessible to a fixed-head clamp. Rogowski coils offer flexibility as they do not rely on a rigid iron core, making them easy to get around larger conductors and easy to get into tight confined spaces, this flexibility is a key advantage of the FCC3450. Using Bluetooth, the FCC3450 can be paired with the free Megger Link™ app, giving you the ability to collect remote live readings or record measurements directly to your smart device for storage or report creation. The app is compatible with iOS and Android and allows you to capture trending and graphing data to share with your team or for faster diagnosis and detection of faults.
Thermal Camera TC3231
The TC3231 thermal camera offers a professional infrared 32 x 31 pixels image thermometer with a 2.2 inch (55.88 mm) colour TFT LCD display. The camera gives you quick and accurate readings covering a wide range of surface temperature measurements. It combines the convenience of an infrared thermometer with the visual advantage of a thermal imager, providing you with a troubleshooting camera with an infrared heat map. The TC3231 features a range of selectable thermal image colour palette display options, along with high/low user pre-set temperature alarms. For convenience, the background temperature is also selectable. The camera also has an easy-to-use image blending function; the camera takes an aligned visible, non-infrared, image, together with a full infrared image. The two pictures are then blended and can be adjusted between 0 to 100 %. This makes identifying problems and pinpointing their location far easier. As well as centre spot temperature measurement, the camera also offers simultaneous hot and cold spot tracking, with resultant values and location updated continuously on the display. Up to 6000 images can be saved on the included micro SD memory card, which can be downloaded to a PC via the USB drive in BMP file format. An SD card adapter is also provided for file transfer directly to a computer if required.

The hardware, range of cables and accessories offers unmatched flexibility, making the TRAX an efficient and time-saving system. TRAX is packed with functionalities to make the test engineer’s task easier and quicker. For example, the 100 A true DC test current with a 50 V compliance voltage for winding resistance measurements or the 250 V AC voltage for turns ratio measurements. Also, the adaptive technique for the fastest and most efficient demagnetisation of a transformer core and the patented technique for acquiring authentic, dynamic resistance measurements on on-load tap changers to determine the real magnitude of transition resistances and transition times. TRAX also features 12 kV power factor/tan delta testing, patented temperature correction, voltage dependence detection, and narrowband dielectric frequency response (NB DFR) testing, making it a robust transformer test system.
