After the training period in which you become familiar with our way of working, you will work independently on electronic devices. You can always fall back on the knowledge and experience of colleagues, and you also get access to our internal knowledge database. You are mainly responsible for repairing industrial electronics such as: industrial PCs, PLCs, motor controls and operator panels. Your duties include:

– Finding errors down to component level on PCBs. You do this by reasoning logically and drawing up diagrams.
– Using measuring equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and component testers.
– Selecting previously unknown devices so that they can be tested functionally.

After the training period in which you become familiar with our way of working, you work independently on small projects. As you progress, you will work on a wide variety of R&D tasks. Your duties include:

– Developing Python scripts to simplify or automate certain tasks.
– Reverse engineering the operation of various software (embedded, x86,…) to provide insight and help recover lost passwords.
– Create virtual machines and install software to backup or communicate with industrial devices.
– Writing cron jobs, scrapers, web tools, … for internal use. The emphasis is on the result, how the result is achieved is up to you (freedom of programming language, environment, etc…).
– Developing and updating Android apps for internal use. The emphasis is on functionality (and not on the GUI).
– Assisting with data recovery from corrupt hard drives/flash/file systems…
