Ghent startup brings AI to technicians: “Creating this report used to take half an hour per customer”

Highsail supplies its technology to Belgian companies such as Climagroup, Beel, and Hydrotechnic and is in talks with more international clients. The startup currently has six employees and aims to expand further in the European Union and the United States. A new round of capital will follow soon to finance this growth. "Maintenance technicians are hard to find. If you can simplify their work, it's a win-win. One technician can do more in the same amount of time, and the profession becomes more attractive, because they generally don't like administration," says Maeyens. "You can see that companies have an advantage in the competition for technical personnel when they use such tools." For Hutse, the benefit is already tangible: "I can fully concentrate on what I love most: keeping machines running."
