At Metalon, sustainability is central to the way we operate. We believe that future‑proof logistics is not only about efficiency and reliability, but also about taking responsibility for people, the environment and society. That is why we have been investing for years in innovative solutions that reduce our ecological footprint while improving operational safety and quality.
For Metalon, sustainable entrepreneurship means investing in everyone’s well‑being. Within the framework of the Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) guidelines, we introduced an innovative solution: backpack vacuum cleaners for the efficient and ergonomic removal of pellet spills. This approach was successfully demonstrated in 2024 and was recognised by the TotalEnergies Platform Antwerp as a positive point during their OCS audit.
In addition to the well-being of our employees, our infrastructure is also fully geared towards sustainability. Our warehouses are energy‑neutral, thanks to 4,904 solar panels, LED lighting, heat pumps and high-quality insulation that minimise energy loss. We are also taking strong steps in transport and internal logistics: we invest in electric forklifts and actively encourage shared transport to further reduce our mobility impact.
