ArcelorMittal Belgium strives to convert all substances produced and used during steel production into products that can serve as raw materials in other industries or can be usefully applied. A limited number of waste materials that cannot be reused are collected selectively and recovered at recognized processors.
Based on advancing insights, the Sustainable Environment, Energy and Circularity department of ArcelorMittal Belgium wants to review the design of waste park 28 in order to prepare for future projects. Waste park 28 functions as an intermediate stock for waste pending further processing.
