Wim Vancauwenberghe holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering and has been director of BEMAS, the leading Belgian professional association for maintenance and asset management professionals, since 2000.
As an independent knowledge organisation, BEMAS represents an extensive network of technical experts, maintenance managers and industrial companies. These target groups also make up a significant proportion of the visitors and exhibitors at the Maintenance trade fair at Antwerp Expo.
BEMAS’s mission is to further professionalise maintenance and asset management and strategically position them within the industry. The Maintenance trade fair ties in seamlessly with this by focusing on innovation, technology and future-oriented solutions for industrial maintenance environments.
Together with Maintenance, BEMAS also organises technical masterclasses on current topics. Through initiatives such as the BEMAS Digital Innovation Award and the ‘Technical Team of the Year’ award, BEMAS puts the maintenance sector and its many dedicated maintenance technicians and managers in the spotlight.
